The Frogville Music Project is a non profit 501(c)(3) tax deductible charitable & educational organization in Santa Fe New Mexico. We are brand new having just filed our non profit paperwork May 4, 2010 and we can now legally ask for donations. We exist to make the world a better place through making better musicians and better music. Music matters and may be the key to changing hearts, minds and attitudes and hopefully the world.. “Music soothed the savage beast.” Nothing can change or enhance one’s attitude or mind set so instantaneously as music, it can fuel the fire, or provide shelter from the storm.
Our mission is to assist in the education, artist development, recording and promotion of music-related endeavors which create and preserve educational opportunities, arts enrichment and aesthetics in music performance, creation, and appreciation for music by those who love music and have aspirations of learning the business of music, stage and studio performance, studio recording and production.
We hope to raise the funding necessary to keep our studio in santa fe relevant to the musical community and to continue discovering young, unique, talented and original, underfunded artists and help them record a project that they can grow a career upon. The Frogville Music Project will also host monthly or bi-monthly recording/ music workshops and a credited intern program with the local colleges and high school where an eager music student can get real world training in a working professional recording studio. We would also like to get some hd cameras and a video editor and allow for a making videos, video shorts and music video class.
We NEED Your donation to keep the seed of good music blooming in the minds of the next generations! Funding for the arts was cut by 6 million dollars in New Mexico alone in 2010. Many music, film and art classes in the middle and high schools were dropped. Our program can assist in the growth of the arts in a few of those kids giving them invaluable experience for the real world as human beings developing their gifts and honing their interests in how it all works.
